As part of an Entrepreneureal Consortium among six top universities in Norway the University of Agder has the pleasure of hosting the Summer School 2018. This is a unique opportunity to meet an award-winning educator, author and managing director who is changing the way entrepreneurship is understood, taught, and practiced around the world.
The summer school is an Entrepreneurship accelerator program to strengthen entrepreneurs and small companies’ expertise and scale-up potential. You will learn entrepreneurial skills and be equipped with a proven, systematic and rigorous approach to grow your business to new heights. The course will be taught by MIT. 

The program is also about creating an ecosystem for entrepreneurship and exploring opportunities in a nordic context. The program has been developed in close collaboration with regional partners.

Kurset undervises av Bill Aulet fra MIT. MIT tar utgangspunkt i en modell der man har fokus på entreprenøren og hvor de andre aktørene er definert som sentrale aktører i et innovasjonsøkosystem. Koplingen mellom kapital, næringsliv, akademia, virkemiddelapparatet og entreprenører står sentralt.
- Deltakerne lærer entreprenørielle ferdigheter og får opplæring i en utprøvd og systematisk tilnærming for å skape vekst i virksomheter.
- For Agder er det nyttig at denne tankegangen blir presentert og gjort kjent, slik at man kan sikre et godt system rundt entreprenøren som passer i den regionale konteksten.
- UiA med samarbeidspartnere vil kunne spille en helt sentral rolle ved å sikre kompetanse gjennom undervisning, men også ved å ta en aktiv rolle i å skape en entreprenørskapskultur slik man finner i amerikanske og britiske universitet.
