LTP OBJECTIVES

Developing academic and research communities of outstanding quality

This objective entails significant efforts towards scientific communities and talents using funding earmarked for ground-breaking research and major talents, regardless of the subject and thematic area. This also includes investment in 23 Centres of Excellence (SFF). The National Financing Initiative for Research Infrastructure also forms part of this target area through the renewal of scientific equipment, e-infrastructure and databases for research. This area also encompasses ‘Targeted internationalisation measures’, either through mobilisation schemes aimed at the EU framework programme Horizon 2020 or through bilateral cooperation.
