MOWAHS - Mobile Work Across Heterogeneous Systems

Awarded: NOK 5.0 mill.

The project will provide an efficient and user-friendly environment for helping people in virtual organizations to perform and coordinate their work at their current location, time and device configurations. The project will be based around two existing research groups at IDI/NTNU - i.e. the software engineering and database research group. Currently the two groups have in all 8 professors/researchers, 12 PhD students and 25 MSc students. The project is planned for 4 years with 2.5 PhD students and 1 p ostdoc researcher on average per year. Some keywords are: Virtual organizations, process models, mobile agents, heterogenous systems, federated and distributed systems, distributed workspaces, cooperative transactions, XML.
