Dynamic Adaptive Architecture - Princeton and Rutgers Visit

Awarded: NOK 0.25 mill.

I (Lars Ailo Bongo) have been invited to visit Princeton University and Rutgers University as a visiting graduate student. At Princeton I will be collaborating with Professor Kai Li on projects related to the SHARE project. At Rutgers I will be working wi th Professor Liviu Iftode's at the Distributed Computing Lab. The key research activity is related to developing adaptive systems for performance scaling applications in multi-clusters (Grids). My PhD project is a part of the SHARE project, and part of th e system has already been implemented and evaluated. A stay at leading international groups in my research field will provide me with knowledge about applications envisioned to use SHARE, and experience using equipment not available in Tromsø. The results of the visit will be two publications in international conferences or journals, in addition to system and application software developed for the SHARE project. Requested funding is an overseas fellowship, travel support, and publication support.
