Physical Metallurgical reeaserch and Aluminium in particular

Awarded: NOK 73,000

Support from the Leiv Eriksson mobility program is sought for a stay for one young scientist from NTNU to have a stay at two of the best research groups in the world within the field of Physical Metallurgy, both located in Canada. New relations will be es tablished and old ones will be strengthened between the involved research groups. Emphasise is put on the activities which integrate modelling activities with good focussed experimental studies. The stay will contribute to a transfer of certain skills and methodologies that will be of long term benefit to NTNU and to the collaboration with the important Norwegian light metal industry.
