The Analysis Group at the Mathematical Institute, University of Bergen, is recently formed and rather strong and promising. Latest interests of the group lie within Complex and Harmonic Analysis, and their applications to Mathematical Physics. During the last year the group applied for several project. Some of them won grants, in particular the Analysis Group project for a ESF grant for a 5 year Programme was recommended for funding starting January 2007. We plan to establish a strong collaboration betwe en the Analysis Group at MI UIB and the analogous groups in Analysis and Mathematical Physics at the Georgetown University and SUNY Stony Brook (USA). Der-Chen Chang and Leon Takhtajan are leaders of these groups. The main goal of this project is to esta blish priority frontier directions of joint research and work out applications for joint projects between UiB and partners from USA. These applications are planned to be sent to NSF, NFR or will be a part of the application of the Analysis Group for the FP7 ?People? program to be created in 2007 for a 5 years project.
