Joint Nordic Postdoctoral Fellowship Program (SCANCOR)

-We have created a high quality postdoctoral fellowship program with a pronounced impact on the careers of young Nordic scholars in the social sciences and business and policy studies. The program has provided the means for postdoctoral scholars to work with faculty at Stanford University, and has allowed for knowledge to flow in both directions over the Atlantic. Furthermore, through SCANCOR the program has expanded ties throughout Scandinavia. The postdoctoral scholars have gained skills that are intrinsic for an international academic career - they have deepened their methodological knowledge, acquired confidence in writing, and built connections with established international researchers. More broadly, the program has established an infrastructure that reaches beyond individual scholars, and has created a critical mass of researchers and support for focal research areas in the Nordic countries and at Stanford University.
