Second International Conference on Imaging in Neuroscience

It is applied for a conference on imaging in neuroscience research in Tromsø 14-15/5 2009. The aim of the conference is to establish contacts between researchers, firstly at a national, but also at an international level. The conference will target areas that are relevant for ongoing research in Norway. The intention is to strengthen the neuroscience milieus working in Tromsø and at the other universities and hospitals, and to introduce imaging methods in research that at present is not using these method s. The conference is a follow-up to the first International Conference on Imaging in Neuroscience in Tromsø in April 2007. The conference will target four themes. The program and proposed speakers are described in more detail in the application 1. Affec tive and cognitive neuroscience 2. Brain imaging in psychiatric research 3. Signal processing methods 4. Brain imaging of pain and pain modulation All speakers will be asked to reply within November 1st 2008.
