Bilat - Relating laboratory and field bioaccumulation; importance of abiotic and biotic parameters, and use of trophic magnification factors

The Bioaccumulation Advisory Group (BSAG) of Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC) is in the process of organizing a workshop to be held in New Orleans 2 days prior to SETAC NA, 2009 (i.e., 18-19 November). The workshop will focus on the low, or non-existing, translation of measured bioaccumulation between laboratory and field data. Participation in these international processes is important in terms of partaking in the advancement of science, and to increase visibility of Norwegia n scientist and contribution to the scientific community. As a member of the steering committee (Dr. Borgå) and participants at the workshop (Drs. Borgå and Ruus), we seek funding for parts of the costs associated to this work.
