7th Nordic Conference on Behavioral and Experimental Economics

Awarded: NOK 99,999

The first Nordic Conference on Behavioral and Experimental Economics was held at the University of Oslo in 2006, and has since established itself as an important meeting place for economists in this area. It has attracted participants from all the Scandin avian countries, and recently also more broadly from the rest of Europe. The planned conference at NHH will follow the same format as the previous Nordic conferences in the field. It will be a two-day event, with two keynote speakers and parallel session s. The keynote speakers, who have both accepted the invitation, will be Uri Gneezy (University of San Diego) and Martin Dufwenberg (University of Arizona), who are world leading researchers in this field. More than 70 papers have been accepted for the c onference. The majority of the participants are from the Nordic countries, but there are also a substantial number of participants from other European countries. The large number of accepted paper means that we have four parallel sessions both days. The conference is relevant for the VAM-program in two important ways. First, and most importantly, the topic of the conference is closely related to the overall topic of the VAM-program. Second, the conference provides an excellent opportunity for disseminat ion of research done in the research project "Moral Preferences, Labor Marets and Welfare Policy" financed by the program.
