The proposed project is focused on processes of development of the snow cover melting simultaneously on various glaciers on Wedel Jarlsberg Land and consequences to internal feeding and meltwater runoff and development of drainage systems. Fieldwork (sepa rated in spring and late autumn campaigns) includes several methods (GPR, snow pit analyses, shallow ice cores drilling, precise GPS mapping) applied in different glacier zones. The obtained results will enable validation of calculations carried out on hi gh spatial resolution satellite imagery (ASTER).
