Jotne main objective for attending Clean Sky 2 activities will be in the area of simulation and testing, and to increase awareness of our new technology ?Open Simulation and Test Data Management?.
This new software will allow the aerospace industry to much better manage their simulation data and correlate with test data. JOTNE has already developed Open SimDM ? Simulation Data Management, supported by the Lockheed Martin Corporation. The objective of the SimDM project is the exposure of design and engineeri ng analysis data in a form that can be reused by multiple down-stream functions, including long term archival and retention, in order to streamline processes and improve efficiencies. The solution provides a functioning collaboration server for timely dis tribution of accurate and complete product data, based on edition 2 of ISO 10303-209 AP209), - Multidisciplinary Analysis and Design - . In addition, SimDM makes simulation data available to all who have to use it
and secures simulation and analysis data for future access, even when the original CAD and CAE systems have disappeared from the market.Proposed involvement as -Core partner-in Clean Sky 2
Solution for the design and engineering validation of new aircraft concepts Jotne has the capability and in terest to extend and support the Clean Sky 2 program and performing the
demonstrators by new technologies in Open Simulation and Test Data Management. In the recent information issued by Clean Sky 2, Jotne has registered 18 instances of the word Simulatio n and 84 instances of Testing, so it appears that the organizers already put such efforts high on the agenda.
The Open SimDM capabilities will support the Clean Sky 2 partners with a consistent model based information server available both for simulation data and correlation to its test data.
