Public Engagement and Mobilization for Energy Changes: A consumer and stakeholder approach

Awarded: NOK 61,523

This project will focus on the human factor in the energy system, and out answer to this specific call is to combine two bottom-up approaches: a deliberative consumer process and a stakeholder involvement. The background of this call is to improve our und erstanding of the human factor in the energy system. The point of departure is to manage a transition process towards a low carbon energy system that goes beyond the technical aspects. This proposal will cover two of the bullet points from the call text: Awareness rising and transition pathways Public engagement in the transformation process The project will build upon results from several European projects within FP6 and FP7, where one or more of the beneficiaries have contributed. They will constitut e our state-of-the-art, together with relevant academic literature from various disciplines. Energy has played a central part in most projects. The last project below document our experinces with deliberative processes. SCORE, FP6 (2005-2008),. ASCEE, FP6 (2006-2008). BARENERGY, FP7 (2008-2011). CORPUS, FP7 (2011-2013) CRISP FP7 (2011-2014). NANOPLAT (2018 -2010) Our answer to the LCE 20 call is to develop the project along two dimensions, in line with the first two bullet point in call text: 1. From awareness rising to consumer practices and 2. From engagement to transformation This is the way to take the project beyond the state-of-the-art.
