A growing number of European governments make their data openly available and facilitate communication with their citizens. The digital age has evolved into a mobile age. Ageing population are often excluded from the advances of mobile technology as well as the opportunities that open government data may offer. Technological developments offer new opportunities and challenges for the accessibility of public services in general and for the ageing population specifically. Our project will focus on: The pos sibilities that mobile technologies provide for increasing access for the ageing population. The challenges that such technologies provide for the ageing population and the aspects of the government that are most in need of access. Most relevant points of open government data to the ageing population. This project seeks to address immobility and exclusion by co-developing a set of mobile services for elderly citizens emphasizing on accessibility and usability through hackathons or data cafes In partic ular we will address a number of relevant services from the new Directive on the Accessibility of Public Sector Bodies Websites, such as: personal documents, transit and police services, libraries and other services more specific for ageing people with hi gh demand and specially complex. In addition it is foreseen to develop a tool (Usability User Testing Tool -UUTT) that will enable citizens and civil servants evaluate and validate the usability and impact of these services as well as inform about access ibility issues to policy makers.
