Nowadays the world becomes extensively connected. Not only in term of things like computers, smartphones and intelligent infrastructural nodes but also in terms of people and data. While this connectivity provides various benefits (societal, economic, env ironmental, etc.) it also introduces new threats since the connected world is open and therefore it can easily act as a playground of communities with dishonest aims. The standard approach to mitigate the risks connected with these threats leads to the us e of one-purpose devices deployed in isolated environments as well as to the definition of restrictive security policies for the system users. Such approach is in contradiction with the preferences of user community that wishes to be connected whenever an d wherever and wants to use the most recent mass-market devices (smartphones, tablets, etc.) with different attractive applications available on the market. Since security is often not a built-in feature of mass-market devices and applications, the runtim e platforms cannot be considered trusted. TRUST introduces a solution that enables running of high secure applications in an untrusted environment such as common smartphones and personal computers. TRUST brings seamless security enforcement mechanism that ensures considerable gain on security at accessing terminals and e-services without user restrictions. The user just need to be in the physical proximity of the terminal. Seamless security enforcement at accessing terminals and e-services is achieved wi th trusted authority on the network linked with ETP while the cryptographic services of ETP are forwarded by the host mobile device using a short distance communication protocol (as bluetooth). An example can be when user of an e-service is authenticated with username and password. Thanks to TRUST he is automatically authenticated via his mobile device across Bluetooth channel. When moving away, no one can log-in as he even knowing his credentials.
