PES for H2020 prosjektsøknad 'UbiqID - Local Identity Management for Ubiquitous Authentication'

This PES-project has the objective of establishing a consortium and developing a project application for the H2020 call Access Control, in Working Programme Societal Chellenges. Call deadline is August 28th 2014. The consortium project idea is to demonstr ate how user preference for the OffPAD product can enable user driven change in applications areas where lack of trust (online client platforms) and lack of usable security mechanisms (distributed connected environments) has limited the potential for serv ice improvements. Focus will be on applications where the OffPAD enables benefits to the user and provides service improvements beyond the security features. Applications will be provided by project partners in eVoting, online Banking and eHealth or ot hers sectors, depending on partner availability. OffPAD is a user device that eliminates password-problems and provides mutual entity authentication with no user hurdles, and provides a trusted environment for secure identity management. The OffPAD prod uct is prototyped and pilot tested in collaborative R&D projects with the French mobile device manufacturer TazTag and 4 other industry and academic partners, focusing on applications within online banking and eHealth.
