In September 2015, PluriCourts Research Centre based at the Law Faculty of the University of Oslo will host the annual conference for the European Society of International Law (ESIL). The Conference will focus on the legitimacy and effectiveness of intern ational courts and tribunals and, in particular, on the origins of these bodies, how they work, and the outcomes. The theme reflects the main research focus of the ESIL 2015 organizers, PluriCourts. ESIL 2015 will attract experts in International Law fro m a large number of countries and provide a forum for high level debate and analysis. The target group is academics from different disciplines such as law, political science and philosophy as well as organizations, government officials, judges and others working within the field of international law. The conference is open for all ESIL members and other people with an interest in International Law. There is a special focus on attracting young academics to present their work at the conference.
