"TEORETISK" BAKGRUNN: Gardening can be a very fulfilling and therapeutic activity for the elderly, even for those suffering mental health diseases like Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia. Furthermore, tending plants can overcome feelings of i solation by giving individuals the opportunity to play a more active part in the world around them. Being responsible for the care of plants can help residents feel more in control. VÅR TILNÆRMING: The system is composed by different modules interacting b etween them an forming an integrated whole: 1. Horticulture Module: Is composed by a group of sensors which send data to the platform related with phenological stages and other parameters like soil temperature and humidity. 2. Wellbeing Module: Thanks to the physical activity carried out by the older adults, their health status will improve. The data of their activity and health is tracked by the use of a wearable sensors. 3. Carer Module: In this module the carer can manage different information of the older adult, like the physical activity, that can be ranked to see the different involvement in horticultural tasks and detect quickly any change in the older adult's behaviour. 4. Gamification Module: will work with the data received from the other modul es (HM and WBM) and using the data will send advices to the seniors regarding their crops. Will show pictures of the crops/plants with graphics, explanation of pests and weeds, etc.
