The objective of the project is to take part in establishing (or restructuring) a new annex and new tasks (within this annex) as a part of IEA-GIA (Geothermal Implementation Agreement), and taking active part in it. This annex will deal among others with new aspects of EGS (Enhanced Geothermal systems) with emphasis amongst others on environmental impact of seismic events, corrosion and scale and new developments in tracer technology. An important point on the forthcoming EXECO meeting in the second part of October 2014 is to restructure the existing activities within the ?running? EGS annex which have been inactive during the past 2 years, and above all creating new tasks within this annex which should be up-to-date with the evolving technology. The EXECO will decide on the name of this ?new? annex and its roadmap at its next meeting in October 2014.
