The aim of the planned experiment is to investigate the distribution and migration oil in natural sea ice and to image them in 3D with micro CT at a synchrotron facility. With increasing interest in exploring Arctic oil resources the study is a step towards a fundamental framework to cope hazard management of potential Arctic oil spills.
