NeoDoppler - cerebral circulation monitor

Alternative title: NeoDoppler - cerebral circulation monitor

Awarded: NOK 6.8 mill.

Globally 13 million babies are born preterm. Prematurity is one of the main causes of brain injury today. Premature babies have a high occurrence of brain injury due to the unstable blood supply to the brain the first days after birth. Among the most preterm babies, born before week 28, 1 out of 3 will have brain injury. Today, there are no good methods for continuously measuring the cerebral blood flow to diagnose reduced blood supply and initiate interventions to prevent brain damage. NeoDoppler is a medical device that can measure cerebral blood flow continuously by a new Doppler ultrasound technology.
