Proposal for developing project for innovative financing, business and governance models for adaptive re-use of cultural heritage

Awarded: NOK 0.20 mill.

We partner with a leading ICT R&D organization in the United Kingdom to develop an H2020 project that addresses topic SC5-22-2017: 'Innovative financing, business and governance models for adaptive re-use of cultural heritage'. Through initial information gathering we have identified a number of potential Norwegian end user partners as consortium members for our proposal. Our intent in this PES project is to contact them in an attempt to include strong Norwegian input and relevant case studies from Norway in the H2020 project, but also to employ an approach that is viable for all of Europe and beyond. Research Management will be coordinator of the H2020 proposal and will assume the tasks in the H2020 project of mapping and analyzing existing successful case examples of adaptive re-use of cultural heritage, as well as identifying critical socio-cultural barriers and bottlenecks at different organizational levels, and how to overcome them. In the H2020 project, our ICT partner will have primary responsibility for creating and implementing a decision support platform that integrates project-developed tools and methodologies for achieving successful adaptive re-use of CH assets. Our objectives in this PES project are to identify and recruit additional partners to the consortium (especially from Norway to the extent that it is possible). This includes both tools development partners as well as end user partners. Furthermore more, we define and distribute project tasks, and write and submit the H2020 proposal within the deadline.
