Support for Events under IKTPLUSS funding for NBLAW2017 to disseminate the results of SWAN project funded by Research Council for Norway

The upcoming event NBLAW 2017 on 23rd Feb, 2017 shall have the theme of "Smartphone based biometrics - Opportunities and Challenges". The increase in smartphones for banking and financial applications has resulted in using biometrics for secure authentication. The convenience of banking with biometrics comes with number of challenges including presentation attack (spoof attacks). The objective of NBLAW 2017 is to identify potential threats and address all aspects of research issues that will eventually establish robust biometric authentication systems on smartphones. This includes the discussion and presentation on various solutions achieved on smartphones with face-, iris-, fingerprint-, and speech-biometrics. We have invited a number of experts in this domain from various countries to give lectures in NBLAW 2017 Annual workshop.
