2018 FABLEARN EUROPE: Conference on Creativity and Making in Education FabLearn Europe 2018 is hosted from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). FabLearn Europe brings together international researchers, educators, designers, and makers to discuss and explore digital fabrication in education, making, and hands-on learning for the 21st Century. We offered a full-day program including 11 full papers, 10 demonstrations / posters, 3 workshops and our keynote speaker, Leah Buechley (Rural/Digital), who talked about ?Celebrating Art, Craft and Computation?. FabLearn Europe 2018: Conference on Creativity and Fabrication in Education will be held June 17-18, 2018 at NTNU, Trondheim, Norway. The two-day conference organised by NTNU brings together international researchers, educators, designers, and makers to discuss and explore digital fabrication in education, making in educational contexts, and hands-on learning for the 21st Century. Its General organizer is Associate Prof. Michail Giannakos, NTNU, with co-organizers: - Prof. Letizia Jaccheri and Prof. Monica Divitini from NTNU, - Ole Iversen from the School of Communication and Culture, Aarhus University, Denmark - Paulo Blikstein from the Graduate School of Education, Stanford University, USA This is the third FabLearn Europe conference, a competitive venue for publishing high quality papers. According to its tradition, the workshop invites internationally renowned researchers to give keynote talks. For 2018, we aim at inviting: 1. Mitchel Resnick, MIT Media Lab, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States 2. Janet C Read, Child Computer Interaction lab, University of Central Lancashire, Preston, United Kingdom This project (requested amount to NFR 100KNOK of the 175KNOK total budget) is planned to provide support to the invited keynote speakers.
