Field-based structural-stratigraphic study and lithological/petrophysical characterisation of the mesoscale sedimentary intrusions (i.e. injectites) affecting the lowermost interval of the mid-late Jurassic Agardhfjellet Formation in the southern Sassenfjorden area. The aim of this project is
to provide a detailed qualitative and quantitative structural-stratigraphic characterization of these sedimentary intrusions, incorporating lithological, petrophysical and geochemical data acquisition and laboratory analyses. This broadband approach will contribute in the overall geological understanding of these previously overlooked structures, which represent important paleo-tectonic indicators, and their practical implications in terms of underground resources exploitation.
