OXYENZ to ERC CoG

The submitted ERC StG proposal aimed to reveal how oxidative enzymes involved in degradation of lignocellulose work in concert. Also, since the mechanisms of several of these enzymes are not known, part of the proposal included enzyme characterization at an atomistic level. For a short introduction to the project itself, please see the uploaded presentation that I gave at the interview in Brussels. With a broad background in both molecular biology and physical chemistry, I designed a project where methods covering a multitude of scales, e.g. from biochemical and spectroscopic experiments to state of the art computational chemistry methods, were combined to test the hypotheses.
