In the offshore oil and gas insdustry the injection of various chemicals into the process is required to avoid scaling in oil pipes, prevent corrosion i piping and equipment, improve the seperation of oil and water, and several other important areas. The technological aspect of chemical injection in oil producing fields are challenging due to high and unstable pressure conditions, special fluid capabilities and high requirements related to safety, durability and accuracy of such injection. DropTech have developed a new solution that will improve the chemical injection in 3 focus areas; accuracy, flow range and resistance to glogging caused by large particle impurities in the chemical compounds. Improvements within these areas will have both economical and environmental benefits for the oil field operators. The funds granted from STUD-ENT FORNY will be used to further develop the prototype that has been built and tested at the Univesity of Agder, so the solution will adhere to applicable requirements for installation and testing in an operational environment
