On average there is an annual rise of alpine activity worldwide. As of now, 340 million skiers venture to alpine resorts all over the world each season. With no ideal solution in the industry, to safeguard skigear against theft, many skiers still leave their ski gear on the ground. Which leads to approximately 7% of skiers will experience theft or loose their ski gear due to mix-up and thereby add unnecessary time consuming work to fix the situation, during their vacation. Alpilox creates a solution for skiers that provides customized safe storage wich are accessed both by lift cards, VISA or mobile app. This creates a user friendly experience where skiers scan their device and get pointed to a free locking slot. A safe storage, that can be accessed day and night, and will be found outside your prefered alpine restaurant and afterski in the years to come. Alpilox has its origin from when a founder got their skigear stolen and has since been developed next to studies at the Norwegian Business School and NTNU. Alpilox consists of a core team that is driven by a passion to put entrepreneurial theories into practise and to make a difference in to outdoor activities. The team consist of five students from different academic disciplines at NTNU, NTNU's School of Entrepreneurship, Industriell Design Engineering, Entrepreneurship Innovation and Society and, Project Management and Mechanical Engineering.
