Saxifraga oppositifolia will be sampled from nunataks, to explore the gene flow between populations and to find out whether nunataks function as islands within the island of Spitsbergen. In addition, dispersal and colonisation of S. oppositifolia can be related to environmental factors, since populations are collected along various environmental gradients.
