Protection Empowered 5G Networks Towards Assisted safety

Følgende beskriver EU-prosjektet vi søker prosjektetableringsstøtte for: The project concept aims at contributing to the design of future 5G end-to-end systems by bringing real use cases and trying them with the current available technology, outputting results to society as a whole, stakeholders and standards definition organizations. From the technological and solutions perspective, or the "supply" perspective , the project will leverage on the knowledge and the exploitable results developed in previous H2020 5G projects, both at the RAN and core network level (e.g., NFV, SDN, network slicing, and others), existing ICT- 17 trial sites (e.g., 5G-VINNI and 5GENESIS) along with extensions and enhancements, and the deployment of the industrial and SME 5G products (e.g., Rel-15 gNB nodes and future Rel-16 complaint products). On the "demand" side, or end user's needs, the project will address PPDR operations in respect to critical communications scenarios (which, as of today, are not yet available in the previously mentioned platforms), while addressing the necessary innovations development as well to manage and operate the network system when human lives are at stake. In this way, for the involved various stakeholders (ranging from operators, to manufacturers and service providers) to reach the PPDR market, they require the development of mechanisms capable of handling lifethreatening operations of ICT solutions
