The overall objective of this project is to define a viable and tailorable concept and business case of Plus Energy Houses. The concept deepens the roots of its successful implementation on a climate and cultural approach for its overall configuration, technology selection, and user and infrastructure interactions. While the specific technology developments are very focused on some key aspects, solution-sets are comprehensive and easily replicable thanks to reliable methods and practical guidelines. Expected impacts: • Similar costs compared to the 2020 nearly zero-energy buildings as an incentive to erect energy-plus-houses • Increase the share of plus-energy houses with the aim of 10 per cent market uptake by 2030 • Contribute to reduction in CO2 emissions in the residential sector by 88 per cent in 2050 compared to the 1990 levels • Improved indoor environment leading to higher rate of user satisfaction based on their demand and behaviour
