ONiO AS is developing and manufacturing innovative smart sensors and radio technology as ultra-low power solutions not requiring a battery, disrupting the world of smart sensing. ONiO's key roadmap product is a wireless micro-controller with energy harvesting (ONiO.zero), capable of multi-sensor measurements of essential parameters (e.g. vital signs in the case of medical uses). Alongside the ONiO.zero we hope to build a robust, elastic, scalable and easily deployable database and data analytics platform that will enable new products and massive growth in diverse segments (IoT, medical, automotive, industrial, smart cities, wearables/clothing and consumer electronics markets). The overall objective of the EID project is to provide specialized and highly qualified training to a group of Early Stage Researchers (ESRs), giving them the competences and skills to address the current and future challenges within ONiOs technological development roadmap and to initiate R&D activities that will be crucial for ONiOs product development plans. Our main challenge is that we do not currently possess the resources and expertise that are essential for achieving the full length of the activities proposed in this project. Therefore, we are looking for a group of ESRs to whom we can provide the appropriate training through the EID programme, in cooperation with leading academic partner(s), in order to internalize the missing expertise and further advance the development of our technology. Acquiring these skills, through this mutually beneficial training programme is fundamental for ONiO to maintain a competitive advantage over the coming years, advancing the use of new material science and mechanical engineering technologies to improve our future smart sensor-based products.
