Disruptive roof tile technology for solar energy collection

The TilePlus project aim is to prototype, pilot and commercialise a cost-efficient and innovative approach to roof tile technology for solar energy collection; e-Tile+ PV technology solar panels for residential rooftops and commercial buildings. The project will include activities to: (a) mature our technology, (b) test and validate the matured technology by piloting TilePlus, and (c) plan and prepare for the post-project launch of a commercial version within 36 months of the start of the project. The project is designed to achieve a set of specifically defined objectives and conduct a sequential series of technology & market maturation activities that will elevate TilePlus from its current TRL7 to TRL8. The work plan is expected to span 24 months and consists of six work packages (WPs) divided between two technology maturation WPs (WP1-2) and three market maturation WPs (WP3-5). The results from WPs1-5 feed into the simultaneous development of our final Business Innovation Plan (BIP) & Commercialisation Plan (CP) in WP6. WP6 supports all activities and will ensure successful market launch and scaling of our disruptive solution. The proposed project involves five partners, Skarpnes AS (NO), SUN-NET AS (NO), Autarq GmbH (DE) and OneCo AS (SE), all with complementary backgrounds and skills. Together, the participants expertise covers the entire value chain within the solar roof industry.
