In this project, Njord Robotics explored whether autonomous, underwater cleaning drones could clean tanks in land-based fish farms. The drones work continuously and proactively during fish production, ensuring that tanks never get dirty in the first place. The goal is to eliminate the need for manual cleaning. Manual cleaning is a time-consuming, tedious, and hazardous process resulting in HES related risks and production downtime. The project enabled thorough evaluation of market potential, technological risk, and biological effect in operational farming systems.
