ReLab is Norway's first designer and producer of ultrasound transducers for the open market. We take inspiration from the microelectronics industry where semi- and automated production methods are standardized. Our method is capable of producing high volums of ultrasound transducers which compete in both performance and price. We develop materials and innovative solutions which meet requirements from a broad range of applications.
ReLab AS has through this project developed a functioning production line of single element ultrasound transducers. Through close collaboration with our target customer, Medistim ASA, we have identified drawbacks of the current design and proposed potential designs for new assembly techniques. The University of South-Eastern Norway has been engaged in this project, assisting us in practical challenges and exploring state of the art production techniques.
