Prosjektetablering og posisjonering mot EU H2020 ved Veterinærinstituttet

The Norwegian Veterinary Institute’s new strategy for 2020-2023 is strongly built upon the UN SDGs and the importance of healthy animals, humans and food to achieve many of these ambitious goals. NVIs strategy foresees an ambitious objective to increase participation in EU funded programs within the new Horizon EUROPE. Historically NVI has had a success rate of around 15% for its EU applications, fact that underlines the need of a reasonable portfolio of applications to be sent in if one is to achieve a sustainable number of applications. H2020 is now at its final stage and the topics often targets by NVI fall within the SC-Food programme which will no longer have relevant calls this year. NVI also wishes to prioritise measures that increase the visibility of both researchers and topics and by doing so contributing to a higher success in project acquisition. These will include among others external activities such as participation in international forums and scientific meetings and internal such as motivational/educational measures of the scientific staff (H2020 courses, ERC grant development, etc...). To achieve these goals several measures and initiatives are identified in the appendix to this application
