MyWorkout GO 2.0: an app that can calculate and improve biological age with scientific precision to tackle physical inactivity of population

Awarded: NOK 74,999

The aim of the GO 2.0 project is to continue the development of My Workout´s unique app GO –an advanced research-based training app technology that has been designed and developed to promote an active lifestyle in the population and thus prevent early death linked to inactivity - and deliver a second generation. Myworkout services include a whole set of new technologies that will offer users, healthcare services, insurance companies and private companies a new affordable, seamless and efficient healthcare solution to improve outcomes and reduce costs of inactivity which is a serious global health risk. A 2019 report based on 75,105 measurements of 7,480 unique users in Norway shows the potential of our innovation to reduce biological age up to 18,775 years and a reduction of 14,960 days of sick leaves for companies. The potential for further development Myworkout GO is a high-risk breakthrough and commercially oriented innovation that has a high risk during both its technological development (high costs of development still required) and commercial development (including the uncertainty about the acceptance rate of the technology by end-users and scientific validation). The focus of the 24 month projects is thus focused on 3 key technological areas: i)add functionalities for key functions automation and better user experience; ii) app internationalization (languages), API service, and improving architecture; iii) improving end-user experiences. In addition the project will focus on developing a solid commercialization plan and integration with future potential customers (insurance companies) to ensure economic scalability and successful launch into market, first in Europe and then in other parts of the world. Innovation: Technology and service that enables people (knowledge, motivation and support) to use training as medicine regardless of physical starting point, where user lives with available facilities.
