The drive towards lifetime extension of ageing oil, gas and processing infrastructure represents an enormous global challenge and possibility. In this project, NORCE Innovation seek to verify and commercialise the Online Distributed Integrity monitoring system (ODIMS). The technology will enable operators to carry out targeted inspection and preventative maintenance. Industry data suggests that enormous sums of money can be saved by making maintenance programs smarter. The technology will reduce the risk for production shutdowns and accidents. The technology has the potential to be applied in a wide range of other settings. As part of this project, lab demonstrations of the ODIMS technology will be carried out, business models and potential commercialisation partnerships wil be explored.
The key outcome of the project has been the more clear understanding of a viable path for commercialization of the ODIMS-CUI technology.
Based on the learnings we have established a new project that with success will prepare for market launch in 2022.
