Location:

ICDS is a biannual international conference bringing together the leading experts and students in the field, and aim to include all important advances in the field since the previous meeting. The conference is the 31st of its kind, with the first conference taking place more than 60 years ago in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, and is the main meeting place for the experts in the field, as well as an excellent place for new students to learn state-of-the-art and to establish international contacts. The location is rotated biannually between Asia, America and Europe. The conference promotes a fundamental understanding of point and extended defects in semiconductors, including electrical, vibrational, optical, and magnetic phenomena. The scientific program will contain about 90 oral presentation, including more than 25 invited talks. In addition, more than 100 posters will be presented. In addition to the scientific program, the conference includes a welcoming reception, a conference banquet and an excursion, which provide excellent platforms for networking and promoting Norway from a touristic and scientific point of view.
