AILIVE’s vision of the ‘Smart Hospital of the Future’ sets out a multi-disciplinary model based on
the four-dimensional 4P (prevention-prediction-personalization-participatory): (1) to improve
prevention -even in the case of unexpected events, including response to disasters, crowd management
and even pandemic attention-; (2) prediction -i.e. reducing the number of errors, misdiagnoses and
unnecessary tests, improving decision making, treatment and resources estimation-; (3) personalization -
i.e. construct and make use of a complete patient profile; and (4) participatory, with patient
empowerment via access to information and treatment adherence mechanisms and automating routine
procedures. AILIVE aims to act in the overall healthcare chain (from primary care to hospital) via a set
of services built to optimise NHS efficiency and to improve healthcare procedures focused on the
patients exposed to the effects of pandemics, necessitating higher resources for their care, and having
chronic conditions with leading cause of mortality.
