Our patented fishlike autonomous underwater vehicle provides companies operating in the blue economy with a rugged and affordable technology for tracking and analysing their marine operations, especially for aquaculture farmers, observing and monitoring their livestock. At Aquaai Norway AS, we have combined current sensors and technologies into a one autonomous moving platform, offering an “all in one” solution able to provide superior analytics, while still being affordable. The robot is produced using 3D printed components, off the shelves cameras and sensors, which results in its affordability, while being easily transportable and requiring little to no crew to operate. It uses Computer Vision to obtain data on its surroundings, and through a floating communication hub, transfer the data online for analysing and visualisation. By having a fish like design and movement, we avoid stressing farmed salmon, which otherwise are prone to dying from stress induced heart attacks when new variables are introduced in their living environment. The farmer benefits from more precise continuous data streams around stock behaviour and health, water quality and feed optimization. The aim of the envisaged project is to move our current prototype technology to TRL8. The Myriad FAAS technology has a major market potential compared to current state-of-the-art technologies. To increase our commercial success and impact, we have created a Strategic Business Plan, as a detailed roadmap, describing all necessary activities we need to undertake to ensure a successful market introduction. Now, we seek to develop our Commercialisation Plan (CP), which will form an important part of the final Business Innovation Plan (BIP), to be created in this Accelerator Pilot project. As the envisaged Accelerator Pilot project builds upon a validated prototype technology, the majority of our efforts will be focused on piloting and commercialisation activities.
