Interactive Field Experiences with an Augmented Smart Table (IFEAST), RiS ID 11596

IFEAST will create a dynamic and user-proof presentation device for researchers, students and others to create interactive field experiences with an augmented smart table. New photogrammetry data will be used to create digital outrop models and 360 degree images of important geoscientific sites. This will be used to create interactive field experiences for UNIS Arctic Geology courses. The generated data of this project will be added and become availble via Svalbox.no. IFEAST will provide interactive field experiences during the dark season, bad weather or situations where fieldwork gets restricted (e.g. COVID-19), whilst at the same time removing environmental impacts from fieldwork.
