Norwegian Network - ApPEARS

Norwegian Network for ApPEARS (NETApP) project aims to disseminate the experience and knowledge gained from the Horizon2020 MSCA-ITN funded project "Appearance Printing - European Advanced Research School" (ApPEARS) to a wider range of actors in the field of material appearance understanding and printing, 3D printing, additive manufacturing, medical training institutes, and hospitals in Norway. NETApP plans to carry out independent activities in terms of workshops, training schools, and visits to share knowledge from ApPEARS-ITN. International experts on different areas related to appearance printing will contribute to planned activities through visits and training offered. ApPEARS project and activities were presented and discussed at the 2021 Researcher's night and Researcher's day in Gjøvik. These events being targeted towards children and general public gave the opportunity to disseminate ApPEARS objectives and research results towards general public. In addition, networking activities carried out through NETApP is expected to fuel future collaborative activities in terms of research, development, and training projects at the Norwegian and European level. The planned activities aim to cover small- and large-scale actors in Norway within the fields and applications related to appearance printing using 2.5D and 3D printing techniques.

NETApP activities aim to disseminate the experience and knowledge gained from the Horizon 2020 ApPEARS-ITN project to a wider range of actors in the field of visual appearance understanding and printing, 3D printing, additive manufacturing, medical training institutes, and hospitals in Norway. Being the coordinator of the H2020 project, NTNU has more flexibility in planning the activities with support from the other partners in ApPEARS. NETApP will conduct independent activities in terms of events-workshops, training schools, visits etc to share knowledge from ApPEARS-ITN. International experts on different areas related to appearance printing will contribute to planned activities through visits and trainings offered. Networking activities carried out through NETApP will fuel future collaborative activities in terms of research, development, and training projects at the Norwegian and European level.
