Invivo Bionics is a Norwegian start-up that has developed nanotechnology-based in vivo pressure sensor systems for continuous monitoring of human organ function. InVivo Bionics is breaking ground with a new breed of cost-effective nanotechnology sensor system for measurement of pressure directly in vital organ. Our first area of focus is urinary dysfunction affecting millions of people globally as presented in this proposal. Urinary problems such as incontinence, overactive bladder and benign prostate hyperplasi (BPH) are a global burden affecting ~45% of people globally. 80% of the problems are treatable and even curable with correct diagnosis, but available diagnostics tools give poor insight and are associated with high equipment investment costs. Our goal is to significantly improve the quality of life of these people by offering an advanced innovative microsensor system for the continuous monitoring of pressure directly inside the bladder, based on more than a decade of research a SINTEF. Our team combines knowledge and experience in microsystems technology, SW and cloud services, business development, regulatory affairs, and clinical medical research in urology and is led by a female physicist, Dr. Ingelin Clausen, the founder of InVivo Bionics. The breakthroughs from her work at SINTEF form the core components of our technology. The team is further supported by a board and investor ecosystem with experience in building and scaling businesses globally. The device facilitates long-term and high-quality recordings through natural bladder filling and emptying cycles and can be used continuously for up to 30 days
