An AI Tool to Assess, Track, and Predict Early-Stage Startup Impact

Alternative title: Et AI-verktøy for å vurdere, spore og forutsi impact hos startups

Awarded: NOK 16.0 mill.

A data-driven AI tool that measures and predicts the positive social and environmental impact and potential impact of early-stage startups and projects, both now, in the future, and over time. With sustainability and fighting climate change climbing up the agendas of countries and companies, the need to define and measure the impact of companies on society is becoming more and more important. In order to understand how companies can affect society, definitions and metrics for "impact" need to be defined. The main problem is that many current metrics focus on established companies and not on early-stage startups where the details of methodology, products, and company culture are still being developed. Early-stage startups desiring to make a positive impact on the world need to understand their current impact level, their impact potential, and how to increase their impact. The IMPACTULATOR sets out to meet this need so that early-stage startups can: - measure and understand their current impact - track their impact developments over time - have insights into how to improve their impact - use their impact score to attract investors and greater investments amounts - meet their impact goals - improve their impact performance communication
