BEHANDLING-God og treffsikker diagnostikk, behandling og rehabilitering

The Norwegian Node of the International Neuroinformatics Coordinating Facility 2022-2027

Awarded: NOK 5.0 mill.

Neuroinformatics is dedicated to the integration and analysis of diverse data sets across scales, techniques, and species through the development of computational approaches and infrastructures required to achieve an improved understanding of brain function and positively impact the health and well-being of society. The International Neuroinformatics Coordinating Facility, INCF, is an independent international organization catalyzing and coordinating the global development of neuroinformatics approaches and advancing training in the field. The Norwegian INCF node is the bridge between the research community in Norway and the global INCF network. The node partners at UiO, NMBU, NTNU, and Ahus contribute to the development of community standards and best practices for basic, computational, and clinical neuroscience through participation in INCF working groups. The node contributes to the INCF governance, including the community driven endorsement process for the proposed new standards and best practices. The node promotes the uptake of neuroinformatics tools and services by researchers in Norway by providing user support and community contacts for a range of tools and services, including data management and stewardship, atlas based analysis of brain image data, tools for computational simulation, and clinical neuroimaging resources. Node partners contributes to producing training material for dissemination via the INCF Training Space and has embedded neuroinformatics in relevant courses for PhD students.
