CEMIT smart monitoring system is a completely new, breakthrough technology that surpasses the limitations of existing rail inspection and monitoring solutions. ATTUNE will locate problems on tracks, wheels, bogies, pantographs, or the catenary systems (i.e. the overhead power system). Our sensors will be designed, packaged, and configured to enable minimally invasive, retrofit installation. The sensors are standalone and, since they require no interfacing to existing train systems (vitally important for our customers), they are easily installed in less than 20mins. The sensors continually measure parameters such as vibration, train tilt, acceleration/deceleration, and catenary position.

The goal of ATTUNE is to research, develop and test a novel automatic monitoring and predictive maintenance solution for the railway sector. ATTUNE consists of cost-effective, IoT-enabled sensing hardware and a design-driven data visualisation platform. The intelligence behind the platform is provided by a back-end intelligent data analytics engine. Our smart monitoring system is a completely new, breakthrough technology that surpasses the limitations of existing rail inspection and monitoring solutions. Continual measurement 24/7 over years on end generates a rich data set making our low-cost sensor approach highly feasible. The data analytics then make sense of the information in real time, allowing ATTUNE to identify when and where an anomaly is developing.
