Nordic Conference on Plasma Spectrochemistry 2022

Awarded: NOK 32,611

The Nordic Conference on Plasma Spectrochemistry (Nordic Plasma; www.nordicplasma.com) builds upon a long-lasting tradition of Nordic conferences dating back to 2002, all held in Loen, Norway. In this tradition, Nordic Plasma appears today as a continuous meeting series for an ever growing national, Nordic, and international professional network covering all aspects of plasma spectrochemistry in e.g., industrial production, medical/pharmaceutical, environmental and geosciences as well as academia and related scientists. The conference series is organised under the auspice of the Norwegian Chemical Society, Division for Analytical Sciences (NKS-FAK). The three-day conference (June 12 - 15, 2022) will be held in Loen at Hotel Alexandra and is expected to attract between 100 and 120 experts and users of all aspects of plasma spectrochemistry. All planning and implementation of the conference is based on voluntary work by members of NKS-FAK which means that all income is fully used for the benefits of the participants with the unique opportunity to bring world-leading researchers in the field of plasma spectrochemistry and related fields to the meeting. All costs of the meeting are to be covered mainly by registration fees, as well as contributions from exhibitors and sponsors. To offer a state-of-the-art scientific programme a large number of international specialists are invited for keynote presentation as well as educational short courses adding substantial expenses to the conference budget. Therefore, we apply for economic conference support from the Research Council of Norway to partly finance the cost of the invited speakers.
