Project Establishment Support summary: - bringing on board the true key opinion leaders (KOLs) within the specific field or topic - establishing a core consortium with hight excellence - developing a basic plan, drafting the scope, goal and objectives and rough outline of the project - bringing in the rest of the partners - aligning all the partners' opinions, ideas into a common vision, a clear project idea - defining project scope and content based on contributions from the partners - defining a coherent and clearly focused project plan - defining work packages and assign responsibilities (work package leaders) - compiling and submitting the proposal Brief description of the proposal The project is focusing on human-centric research and use-case-driven innovation on SUStainable Edge-oriented Trustable Things (SUSETT) to enable social benefits. The objectives are: (1) Addressing the European Green Deal by maximising efficiency and sustainability of Trustable Things (Electronic Components and Systems (ECS) and ECS-based solutions) (2) Embracing a systemic view of sustainability * AIoT & Edge AI paradigm (strengthening the edge cloud continuum,...) * New devices/systems with very low demand on energy incl. energy harvesting/energy efficiency approaches * Building resilience (incl. security) * Innovative and sustainable Processes - Full life cycle approach: development/production/operation/end-of- life... - Bringing human users early into the loop (3) Making sustainability a requirement as important as performance or reliability * Sustainability can be threefold (focus of Use Cases): 1. In production (e.g., energy usage reduction) 2. In operation (e.g., energy usage reduction) 3.
