The project deals with management, operation and maintenance, and extended lifetime of concrete structures for infrastructure, more specifically bridges, dams for hydropower production and offshore installations. The aim is to develop a uniform digitalised methodology for choosing the right management strategy for existing concrete structures, and which also includes greenhouse gas emissions as a criterion in the same way as cost. It involves a change of focus from demolishing and building new to rather increasing the service life of existing structures. It will meet society's requirements for safety and contribute to industry and society saving at least NOK 100 billion and reducing national greenhouse gas emissions by at least 10,000 tonnes in the nearest 10-year period, by extending the service life of the existing structures. Choosing a management strategy starts with a condition analysis of the structure. Today, it largely takes place as manual work and rigging on the structure. This is expensive, resource-intensive and dependent on the weather. The ambition of the project is therefore to develop/further develop drone/robot-based methods that can eliminate the need for manual work. In the next phase, the remaining service life will be calculated based on the condition. It is particularly challenging to do this with sufficient accuracy when the construction is damaged and needs to be rehabilitated: Among other things, we need to know more about the durability of the rehabilitation solutions as well as improve these. And we must develop/further develop sensor-based monitoring that can provide continuous information about the condition and give us a basis for determining the time and method for the next rehabilitation.

Miljøgass-beregningsmodell 5. Sensorer med tilhørende system for kontinuerlig digital overvåking 6. Datahåndtering; digital plattform
